Role Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and well-connected Business Development Director to drive the adoption of our CarbonPay Payout Platform solution across the Scrap Metal Recycling Industry. Based in one of the Southern States from Texas across to North Carolina. Preferably near major industrial business hubs, and preferably a major airport. You will leverage your deep industry network and expertise to consultatively sell our payment solutions to major brands within the sector. This role is perfect for a driven, self motivated sales professional from the scrap metal sector or similar heavy industry, with experience selling solutions and products into relevant large and major businesses.
You will engage your network to highlight the benefits of CarbonPay Payout: enhanced security, regulatory compliance, cost efficiency, and safety. With cash payments facing legal restrictions in some states and the inefficiencies of bank transfers or check processing, CarbonPay Payout offers the ideal next-best alternative for scrap metal businesses.
Key Responsibilities
Network Engagement: Proactively approach your established network of major scrap metal recycling brands to introduce and promote the CarbonPay Payout solution.
Consultative Selling: Educate prospects on the advantages of digital payment solutions, emphasising security, compliance, cost savings, and operational efficiency compared to cash, bank transfers, or checks.
Lead Generation: Identify and qualify new business opportunities within the scrap metal industry, focusing on key decision-makers at large and mid-sized companies.
Relationship Building: Foster long-term relationships with clients, acting as a trusted advisor to ensure successful adoption and satisfaction with CarbonPay.
Market Feedback: Provide insights to CarbonPay.io on industry trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape to refine our offerings.
Collaboration: Work closely with the CarbonPay.io sales and product teams to tailor pitches and ensure seamless client onboarding.
Qualifications
Industry Expertise: Deep experience in the scrap metal recycling industry, with a strong understanding of its operational and financial challenges.
Network: Extensive connections with key decision-makers at major scrap metal recycling brands, nationally across the USA.
Sales Acumen: Proven track record of consultative selling, preferably in B2B environments, with the ability to articulate the value of innovative solutions.
Commercial Leadership: Experience as a commercial leader or consultant in the scrap metal sector, with the credibility to influence senior stakeholders.
Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging to diverse audiences.
Experience: Previous employment within the sector at a Senior Sales Level with a proven track record. Existing consultancy business in the scrap metal or related industrial sectors.
Familiarity: A strategic thinker with some knowledge of payment processing, FinTech solutions, or regulatory compliance within these industrial markets. Experience selling SaaS or technology-driven solutions to traditional industries.
